Finally got around to tying this restaurant today. I have a rule not to try "new" places until they have been open at least over one month as that allows for working out kinks and what not. Yeah, I'm weird that way. The place is not as huge as the big places, and that is one thing I really like - bit more intimate. Love the fish tanks, providing a wall along with something relaxing to look at. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Although I went mid day so I am not sure how swift seating is during peak times. For an appetizer I had the pork gyoza - pan fried pork dumpling. I got a generous serving of dumplings, about two-bite sized and wonderfully cooked. The dipping sauce, not sure what it was, but it was nice with a touch of spice. For my main course I had a full order of the kabuki roll - spicy crab, avocado, cream cheese, and spicy mayo topped with seared tuna. Oh, it was lovely. Everything was fresh and held together. What I liked was that this place has other Asian choices, such as Thai dishes. I really had to read the menu to decide what I wanted, which is not a bad thing. I saved room for dessert, simple two scoops of green tea ice cream. Nice and creamy and the flavors were very present. And it tasted fresh, not freezer burnt like a few other places that serve it. I hope this place does well in Olive Branch because sushi options, well GOOD sushi options, in DeSoto County are limited and this one I feel has the freshest tasting sushi. Looking forward to eating my way through their menu.

Finally! A chic restaurant has graced Olive Branch. Unexpected and appealing, Urban Japanese Fusion has a gorgeous interior, and is a great place to grab a quick bite or hang out for hours with friends. The service is very good; friendly faces abound. Come for lunch when the specials (especially the bento boxes) are excellently priced. For dinner... not so much. I believe the cost to be quite high for the quality of the food, which is very good, but certainly not great. Sushi prices and quality here are similar to other places in the area, but the ambiance takes Urban to the next level.

I try the "standard" for any restaurant that has Thai first, the Chicken Pad Thai. Theirs was exceptional. Noodles were cooked correctly, plenty of sauce, great array of onions and sprouts included, and Kaylin even brought out a little extra hot seasoning just in case. I also had the Volcano Roll, which had the twist of including crawfish instead of conch or scallops. Just enough spice and plenty of taste. Managers came by and kept an eye on things, and my server was delightful. The whole experience is why this restaurant will succeed: great food, pleasant atmosphere and outstanding people.

Very yummy. Was here last night. Went somewhere else and was so disappointed I came back. Can't wait to wash away the other place.

Urban Fusion Cuisine is one of my all-time favorite places to eat. This is the one place that my daughter and I like to eat together because the rest of the family does not like sushi. The atmosphere is wonderful. The menu is absolutely fantastic. The service and wait staff are excellent.

I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time, and especially since it seems to be the only place that I can get my Pad Thai fix in Desoto County! Being in a strip mall in Olive Branch, I was pleasently surprised to see how well decorated the restaurant is on the inside. It's a very cool vibe with lots of fish tanks, bubble tanks, and blue ambient lighting. Upon being seated, we waiting quite a long time before a server even came to our table to get our drink order. I was starting to get a little perturbed. Finally we had a waitress take our drink and appetizer order. We started off by trying one of the specialty rolls, the Dynamite Roll. And it was dynamite! It was good enough to eat without dipping it in any soy sauce. I was however dissapointed with the size of the roll for the price, compared to what I have gotten at other places. I ordered the Seafood (mix) Pad Thai. It was a mixture of squid, scallops, shrimp, and mussels. The flavor of my Pad Thai was excellent, however, my seafood was severly over cooked. The squid, shrimp, and scallops were very dry from being cooked too long. The portion size, for the price, once again dissapointed. Honestly, I enjoy the Pad Thai I always order at Pei Wei better, but sadly we do not have one of these in Desoto County. Sigh....maybe someday, right? My wife ordered the Beef Thai Dyamite, which I was able to sample. It was very delicious, and had a heat that would build in intensity the more she ate. In fact, she had trouble towards the end finishing it because the heat built up too much for her. Once again, portion size was small however, at least her meal came with rice and soup, which mine did not. One thing I do appreciate at restaurants like this is a kid's menu with items that a child would actually eat. And this place thank goodness had a good ol standby, chicken nuggets! My son enjoyed them too, eating all of his fries and nuggets. Someday I would like to go back and try more dishes, especially the hibachi stuff.....but the prices for the hibachi items here in my opinion were way too expensive. I've had hibachi before, and I remember it always being way too expensive for what it actually is. Not quite sure why Hibachi food demands such a premium. Overall I liked this place, and I can see myself coming back someday. But for the prices and associated small portions, there are other places I can go that offer me the same quality and bigger portions for the money. But seeing as this is the only place I know of in Desoto County that makes Pad Thai (good pad thai at least), then I know where I'll be going to get my fix!

They never let me down! I'm not a sushi eater but their hibachi is very tasteful. I usually come on Sunday's after church. They open at noon and its to too busy. The ambiance is calm, kinda dark tho. Their fried rice is the best! It's seasoned very well. I had the steak. It was tasty, wish it was seasoned as well as the rice tho. It comes with vegetables (notion carrots, broccoli), soup and salad. All very good and fresh tasting.

I was very impressed with the sushi and the presentation of such. It was a very nice little location that has a cool atmosphere. Since my friend and I ordered multiple sushi rolls, they put it all on one cool looking plate with a light and large glass (See picture). Good job!

It was Friday night. Wife and I wanted to try wimpy's burger, but the parking was super full. So, we scrambled to find another restaurant, and we picked Urban Japanese. We glad we went. Like other reviews mentioned below, the atmosphere was really good. But that is not what we are here for. We are here for the food. Menu separates into mostly japanese and Thai. We ordered dare devil roll, Pad Thai, and hibachi chicken. Unlike other hibachi places, there is no show. Just food served. Japanese menu we ordered were really good. Thai portion was ok, but there is definitely better restaurants in Memphis.

My wife and I really like this restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere, the sushi is good, and the servers are nice. We go at least once a week. You won't be sorry. I should add that my wife is Japanese so while it's not Japan, it's as good as she can get here in Mississippi. Some of our friends don't care so much for sushi and they have great curry and lots of other choices too that I have had.

This is definitely my favorite sushi spot around Southaven. The food is always amazing! The Kabuki Roll is my go to, and I've never been disappointed. The Coconut Chicken soup is also a fantastic choice. The service tends to run a little slow, but they are always very friendly.

The service is what killed this review for me. Bad service will do it every time. The food was good had the chicken and steak the chicken was season a little heavy but it was still good. As for the waitress if we wasn't calling her flagging her down or trying to get her attention she just disregarded the table all together which was just inexcusable.

My only complaint is that "Fusion" is too small. Very much enjoy the atmosphere and so do many other Fusion patrons. Great service and tempting cuisine on every visit, quickly reaching double digits. The Thai Noodle Bowls are favorites and Sushi is always a treat. In the moderate price range Fusion has yet to disappoint

This Japanese restaurant was a breath of fresh air. There was no waiting for a table and we were greeted promptly. The menu was very well organized and unlike some other restaurants of this nature, it was not cluttered with more than was necessary. Pricing was about $14 and up which is reasonable in my opinion. The seafood is imported and brought in fresh everyday. This is one of Olive Branch's best kept secrets. I will be returning again.

The service at this restaurant is horrible even after I asked for the manager it didn't get any better. The food was good though. I don't see me going back anytime soon. I went on 2-18-15.

I'm pretty upset that it took me a year of living in the area to discover this place. If you're not into going north on the highway 20 minutes to Memphis, this is one of the best restaurants around. I really enjoy the Pad Thai here. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is because for some reason they put cilantro on their Pad Thai. Really strange, and it's not listed on the menu as an ingredient. Beware super tasters!

What a hidden gem in Olive Branch! This restaurant is very open, and is very well...New York City-esque with the poured concrete floors and overall ambiance. They offer Thai and Japanese food, and the sushi is to die for! The cocktails are inventive, and the service was terrific. Make sure to get down here!

Service was great. Beer selection was great. I enjoyed seaweed salad... But I don't have much good to say about the sushi. The pieces were all lukewarm, all varieties we tried were bland and tasted the same. Worst of all, the tempura pieces were not crunchy. The sushi was just not up to par with what I am used to coming from the east coast. Really made me home sick.
